Thunder roared in the heavens high

Rain came pouring from the sky

Lightning struck in an arch of light

Father latched all the windows

A flock of sheep in wooly fright

Insects inching slowly along

Glistening raindrops a wondrous sight

Caught above in a windblown tide

Flailing their boughs in puny fight

Earth awash in rainy bright
